Welcome to MiaBella Bichons

Miabella Bichons started with my first bichon named Sassy.  While I had great hopes of her eventually being a show girl, it turned out she was my “training wheels” bichon….very much loved, but not the show girl I had hoped for.

While maybe not a show girl, Sassy was such a wonderful Bichon in so many ways, I just had to get another…and hopefully this one would be “the” show girl.  That is when Bella entered my life. Ch. Jus B Coz I’m Beautiful lovingly called Bella.  Bella was bred to Ch. Four Oak’s Drag Queen and they produced Jus B Cox She’s Mine “Mia”.  With the birth of that perfect little girl, Miabella Bichons was also born.  My Beautiful Bichons is the translation and it is so true, they are all beautiful.

My Bichons live in my home with me with large play yards for them to enjoy running and chasing each other, and to enable the early socialization of the puppies.  I believe in lots of exercise, sunshine and good nutrition and good manners. The adults and puppies  are very well socialized with many outings and  visitors coming in.  I stress sound, happy go lucky, outgoing temperaments in my breeding program.

I am a member of the Bichon Frisé Club of America, Houston Bichon Frisé Club and am a Breeder of Merit with the American Kennel Club.

My breeding program is continually growing and changing.  My emphasis is on healthy, sound Bichons that are true to the standard.  My Bichons compete in AKC conformation to their championships and Grand Championships with the help of my handler and good friend Kayley Kovar.  All health testing is completed prior to breeding any of my Bichons.

The ultimate experience for any Bichon Frisé owner is winning the Bichon Frisé National and that is what my girl BIS, BISS, Ch. Risgae Miabella Sweet Georgia did in 2009.  She also won five all breed Best In Shows and best of Breed at the Eukanuba National Championship in 2008 and 2009 under the expert conditioning and handling of Kayley.  These two were quite a team, and had such a fan club around the world.  Georgia is now retired from the show ring and has entered the 2nd phase of her life, motherhood.

The Bichon Frisé captured my heart at hello.  They have taken me places I never expected to go, and allowed me to enlarge my circle of friends around the world.  Who would have ever thought these little balls of fur could have such a hold on my heart…..but they do, and I am enjoying the ride!
